Chopta, affectionately known as the 'Mini Switzerland of India,' is a pristine, high-altitude valley blanketed in lush green bugyal meadows and dense forests of oak, pine, and rhododendron. Part of the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, Chopta serves as the base for the trek to Tungnath Temple. The valley offers an untouched escape into nature, with spectacular views of massive snow peaks like Trishul, Nanda Devi, and Chaukhamba. It is popular for bird watching, alpine camping, and stargazing.
