Sissu is a postcard-perfect Himalayan village located just beyond the northern portal of the Atal Tunnel in the Lahaul Valley. Flanked by the fast-flowing Chandra River, the village is famous for the majestic Palden Lhamo waterfall, which cascades down a steep cliff. Sissu is surrounded by fields of potatoes, barley, and poplars, turning bright gold in autumn and deep white in winter. It offers a peaceful, untouched look into Lahauli culture, away from the commercial crowds of Manali.
